The project was an important growth initiative for YLW implemented in eleven phases with multiple stages of renovation. The work involved decanting of all of the airport’s primary tenants, renovating existing and building new office spaces, installing a new baggage system and completing the regulated Hold Baggage Screening Recapitalization for Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA).

The project included major electrical system upgrades, complete migration of building controls to a new system, replacement of the airport’s fire alarm system, extensive renovation of the airport’s only active IT Communications room, complete check-in renovation, apron work and a new baggage hall facility. The airport’s baggage system remained operational for 100% of the multi-phased project.

3BP was engaged by YLW to provide Program Management services and act as Owners Representative for the Outbound Baggage Project.
