14 REGIONAL AIRPORTS THROUGHOUT GREECE

GREEK REGIONAL AIRPORT PRIVATIZATION

Fraport Greece was selected as the preferred bidder for a 40-year concession to maintain, operate, manage, upgrade and develop 14 regional airports in Greece. Their wining bid included a 2.34 Billion Euro up front payment due at Concession Commencement. The airports handle approximately 25 million annual passengers with over 200,000 square meters of terminal infrastructure and 15 runways. Fraport Greece is responsible to modernize and develop the airports’ infrastructure taking into consideration the specific needs of each airport. 3BP was contracted by Fraport Greece to provide strategic management and consulting services and to lead the operation and transition of these airports, including providing the COO for 18 months.

3BP deployed a team to optimize performance at each critical stage of the project and provide operational leadership to facilitate the development of a new network-wide operating philosophy, designing the organisational structure, establishing a recruitment strategy, leading the training and supporting the commercial strategies.
3PB understands the importance of partnerships, and places great value on complete solutions that can be realized through collaboration.
In total, Fraport Greece will invest approximately €400 million in the development of the airports’ infrastructure by 2020.
